From Chemical Engineering Graduate to Educator: Ms. Yuk-chun LEE Leads Tsuen Wan Chiu Chow Public School

Ms. Yuk-chun LEE, a graduate in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from HKUST, has taken an unconventional path to education. After working in non-profits and tutoring, she began teaching in 2009 and quickly discovered that caring for students, especially those from broken families, was as important as classroom instruction. These experiences shaped her strong belief in teacherly ethics and the role of schools as safe havens for children.

She later served for 12 years at Lingnan University Alumni Association Primary School, rising to assistant principal before taking a gap year to study theology. Returning to education with renewed purpose, Ms. Lee was drawn to Tsuen Wan Chiu Chow Public School’s people-centered philosophy and long-standing traditions. Now at the helm, she is eager to lead the school in serving its community with sincerity, dedication, and a vision for nurturing students in challenging times.
