PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

​​​​​​The objectives of the program are:

  1. To provide a holistic learning experience to our students so that they will graduate with a good balance of engineering knowledge and professional skills, a desire to pursue lifelong learning, and a commitment to solving societal problems; and
  2. To enable our graduates to be successful in their chosen career path, whether in the practice of chemical engineering, in advanced studies in related fields, or in other professions that demand a strong engineering training.

Graduates of this program should be able to:

  1. Apply chemical engineering principles in a wide range of settings;
  2. Design processes and products in the realm of chemical engineering to meet societal needs;
  3. Develop an awareness of contemporary issues as they relate to engineering;
  4. Solve chemical engineering and related problems critically and creatively;
  5. Communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and orally;
  6. Function effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams;
