PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES
The objectives of the program are:
- To provide a holistic learning experience to our students so that they will graduate with a good balance of engineering knowledge and professional skills, a desire to pursue lifelong learning, and a commitment to solving societal problems; and
- To enable our graduates to be successful in their chosen career path, whether in the practice of chemical engineering, in advanced studies in related fields, or in other professions that demand a strong engineering training.
Graduates of this program should be able to:
- Apply chemical engineering principles in a wide range of settings;
- Design processes and products in the realm of chemical engineering to meet societal needs;
- Develop an awareness of contemporary issues as they relate to engineering;
- Solve chemical engineering and related problems critically and creatively;
- Communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and orally;
- Function effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams;
- Pursue lifelong learning as self-regulated learners;
