Two CBE-affiliated researchers Zhixing CAO and Hnin NYEIN are 35 Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific 2021 (MIT Technology Review)
Two CBE-affiliated members, Dr. Zhixing CAO and Dr. Hnin NYEIN, have been recognized as 35 Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific 2021 (MIT Technology Review)
Dr. Cao is a CBE alumnus who completed his PhD thesis under Prof. Furong GAO. During his PhD training, he published several high impactful papers and received CBE’s Chan Tak Kei and Wong Kwai Ying Best PG Award in 2016. He is now a full Professor at the East China University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Nyein is a newly recruited Assistant Professor who will join CBE in June 2022. She is a postdoctoral fellow at Tom SOH’s lab at Stanford. Dr. Nyein has published several visionary papers in the emerging area of wearable biosensors for sweat metabolites with a recognition of "Rising Star in Sensing" by the academic journal ACS Sensors.
