Welcome Prof. Guohua CHEN Back to CBE!

Prof. Guohua CHEN has rejoined the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) as a Chair Professor, starting July 3, 2025. After 8 years, he is returning to his academic roots where he previously served as our department head from 2012 to 2016.

Prof. Chen has had an impressive career, including his role as Associate Vice President (Research Support) at PolyU and most recently as Dean of the School of Energy and Environment at CityU. He is also actively involved in the academic community, serving as Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor for several prestigious journals, and holding leadership positions in various professional organizations.

Prof. Chen expressed his enthusiasm about returning home and contributing to the department's development. Welcome Prof. Chen back to the CBE community!
