Promotion of Prof. Yoonseob KIM to Associate Professor

We are thrilled to announce that Prof. Yoonseob KIM has been successfully promoted to Associate Professor in our department, effective 1 July 2025. This achievement reflects his exceptional contributions to research, teaching, and service within the Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) community.

Since joining HKUST, Prof. Kim has published an impressive 36 papers, with several featured in prestigious journals such as JACS, Angew. Chem., and Adv. Materials. His research excellence has also been recognized through multiple grants, including 1 ECS, 2 GRF, 1 CRF, and 1 ITF.

Prof. Kim expresses his gratitude for the support and freedom he has received at CBE, which has allowed him to develop his research program independently. He looks forward to continuing his contributions to the department in the years to come.
