Prof. Hao CHEN receives the Young Investigator Research Award for 2024-25
Prof. Hao CHEN, Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and Division of Life Science, receives the Young Investigator Research Award for 2024-25.
Prof. Chen is celebrated for his remarkable achievements in large and trustworthy AI for biomedicine. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, with more than 36,000 citations, and his AI technologies are enhancing diagnostic accuracy for numerous diseases in hospitals.
Established in 2011, the SENG Research Excellence Award aims to recognize and reward faculty members for their research impact and contributions in local, regional, and global contexts. The awards are classified into three categories to encompass faculty members who are in different stages of their academic life.
The most prestigious award among the three categories, the Distinguished Research Excellence Award honors a distinguished faculty member with exceptional research achievements and significant impact both locally and globally. The Research Excellence Award recognizes the efforts of an outstanding faculty member who demonstrates a proven record of research excellence. The Young Investigator Research Award recognizes the achievements of a promising rising star who has the potential to be a future leader.
