Profile

Yanbing WANG is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at HKUST. She earned her Ph.D. degree from Boston University (2021) under the supervision of Profs. Josee Dupuis and Anita DeStefano. She received her M.S. degree from Brown University (2018), and B.S. degree from Kent State University (2015). Prior to the current appointment, she was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow working with Profs. Pak Sham and Clara Tang at School of Clinical Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on developing and applying the statistical methods to elucidate the genetic architecture of complex diseases. As the first author, she has published papers in the top-tier journals in her field, including American Journal of Human Genetics and Alzheimer's & Dementia.
